You flew 200 miles to spend the weekend somewhere new. Your aircraft is tied down on an unfamiliar ramp, and the forecast just changed. Quick Hangar exists so you never have to settle for tie-downs again.
Every GA pilot knows the drill. You land at an unfamiliar airport, taxi to transient parking, pull out the tie-downs, and hope for the best. Maybe you call the FBO to ask about hangar space — and get voicemail. Maybe you text someone a code and wait 20 minutes. Maybe there's a line crew you don't know moving aircraft around with tow bars, and you're not comfortable with strangers touching your airplane.
Meanwhile, there are hangars sitting empty at that very airport. The owner is on vacation. Another owner's plane is in annual. A third just flew out this morning and won't be back until Tuesday. But you'd never know it, because there's no way to see what's available in real time.
That's the gap Quick Hangar fills. Real-time availability. Instant booking. Bluetooth keyless access. No phone calls, no back-and-forth, no uncertainty.
The status quo: parking on the ramp beside hangars that may or may not have space. Quick Hangar makes the availability visible and bookable in real time.
Quick Hangar is a native app for iOS and Android. Once you've set up your account (payment method, ID verification — you do this once), booking a hangar is fast.
Open the app and see available hangars in real time. Green means available right now. Red means occupied. The map updates in real time — same approach as Uber and FlightAware — so what you see is what's actually there. No stale listings, no guessing.
Found a hangar? Reserve through the app with your saved payment method. The booking starts immediately. No approval wait, no messaging the owner, no phone calls. (Apple Pay, Face ID, and double-tap booking are part of Quick Hangar's v2 roadmap.)
On hangars with Master Lock smart locks, your access is granted automatically the moment your reservation starts — and revoked at checkout. Tap the unlock button, slide the door, taxi in. You're indoors in under a minute. For hangars without smart locks, the app's in-app chat coordinates access directly with the operator — no personal phone numbers or emails shared.
A countdown shows when your booking expires. As it approaches, you'll get a reminder. Need more time? Extend with a tap — charged at the same rate you booked. When you're done, lock up and go. The hangar owner gets paid automatically.
Flying to visit family, attend a fly-in, or just explore? Book a hangar at your destination before you leave — or when you arrive. Either way, your aircraft sleeps indoors.
Thunderstorm popping up on your route? Divert to an airport with a Quick Hangar listing. Book from the cockpit while your passenger handles comms. By the time you taxi in, the hangar is ready.
Your plane is at a shop 100 miles away for annual inspection. Need hangar space for 2–3 weeks at an unfamiliar airport? Book by the day and extend as needed until the work is done.
Fly to the coast, the mountains, or wine country for the weekend. Park indoors for two nights. Come back Sunday, taxi out, fly home. Your aircraft was protected the entire time.
Long cross-country and you need to stop for the night? Book a hangar at your fuel stop. Get dinner, sleep at a hotel, and know your aircraft is safe until morning.
Heading to Oshkosh, Sun 'n Fun, or a local fly-in? Hangars near major events fill up fast. Quick Hangar lets you secure space at nearby airports before you go.
On Master Lock smart-lock hangars, access is granted automatically at the start of your reservation and revoked at checkout. No codes to remember, no keys to pick up, no strangers touching your aircraft. You taxi in, you taxi out. Nobody else handles your plane.
The map shows exactly what's available right now — not last week. WebSocket-powered updates, same technology as Uber and FlightAware. Green or red. Available or not.
Hail, UV exposure, wind, temperature swings — all of it damages aircraft over time. One hailstorm can cost thousands. A hangar at $80/day is the cheapest insurance you'll ever buy.
You see the daily rate upfront. Short stays are pro-rated hourly (daily ÷ 24). A 7.5% service fee plus standard Stripe processing fees are added at checkout — no hidden charges, no subscription, no monthly fees.
Think about this: Your Bonanza, your Cherokee, your 172 — it's probably the only one in the world configured exactly the way yours is. Unlike a car, you can't just go buy another one. A single hailstorm can cost $10,000+. Quick Hangar exists so your aircraft sleeps indoors, even when you're 500 miles from home.
Quick Hangar currently has hangars listed across 12 states, with the heaviest concentration in Florida and a growing presence in Southern California. New hangars are being added every week as more owners discover the platform.
The highest concentration of listings. Year-round flying, coastal weather exposure, and high GA traffic make Florida the #1 market for transient hangar demand.
The second-largest market. Heavy GA activity, busy airports, and pilots flying in from across the Southwest for weekend trips.
Quick Hangar's home base. Active GA community and growing local inventory as the platform's headquarters expands its reach.
Listings in 9 additional states across the U.S., with new inventory being added weekly. Open the live map in the app to see what's available near you.
Don't see your area? New hangars are being listed every week. Download the app to see the live map, and if you know a hangar owner who should be on the platform, tell them about Quick Hangar — it's free to list.
Quick Hangar charges pilots a 7.5% service fee plus standard Stripe processing fees on top of the hangar operator's listed daily rate. That's it. No subscription, no monthly charge, no hidden costs. (Short stays are pro-rated at the hourly equivalent — daily rate ÷ 24 — so a 3-hour weather divert doesn't cost a full day.)
| Daily Rate | 7.5% Service Fee | Approx. Total* |
|---|---|---|
| $50/day | $3.75 | $53.75 + Stripe |
| $80/day | $6.00 | $86.00 + Stripe |
| $100/day | $7.50 | $107.50 + Stripe |
| $150/day | $11.25 | $161.25 + Stripe |
*Standard Stripe processing fees apply; you'll see the full total at checkout.
Hangars at the higher end ($120–$150) often include extras like a bathroom, a crash pad or cot, or a small kitchen. Even at the top end, it's a fraction of the cost of aircraft damage from a single weather event — and less than most hotel rooms.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe (Express Connect — the same payment infrastructure used by Lyft, DoorDash, and Instacart). Your card or Apple Pay info is stored securely in the app — set it up once, future bookings are fast.
Yes. Quick Hangar is free to download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. You only pay when you book — the 7.5% service fee plus standard Stripe processing fees on top of the operator's daily rate.
Operators set a daily rate, and short stays are pro-rated automatically at the hourly equivalent (daily ÷ 24). So if you divert for 3 hours, you pay roughly 3/24 of the daily rate plus the 7.5% service fee — not a full day.
Technically yes — though we'd recommend having your passenger handle it. The booking flow is designed to be quick, and by the time you taxi in, the unlock is ready on your phone (on Master Lock smart-lock-equipped hangars).
You can book on the spot, or reserve a hangar up to months in advance. Advance bookings require a 10% non-refundable deposit at reservation; the remaining 90% is automatically charged 2 days before your arrival. Advance reservations require a minimum 3-day lead time. You get email and SMS confirmations and reminders at every stage.
You'll get reminders as your booking nears expiry. Extend with a tap — charged at the same rate you booked. No need to rebook or call anyone.
Every listing shows hangar dimensions and door width. The platform automatically checks compatibility against your aircraft's wingspan, length, and height — including a built-in safety buffer — before allowing you to book. Aircraft specs are pulled from a verified registry, so you don't have to know them by heart. For larger box hangars that hold multiple aircraft, a visualizer shows you exactly how everything fits together before you confirm.
Quick Hangar never sees or stores your card number — payment goes directly through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. Sensitive documents like your driver's license and pilot certificate are encrypted with AES-256 at rest. HTTPS everywhere, hardened sessions, and CSRF protection on every form.
Quick Hangar is developing an insurance product through an insurance partnership, modeled on Turo's car-sharing coverage. The product is not yet live — more information to follow. In the meantime, your own aircraft insurance covers your plane, and the hangar itself is a steel structure that's extremely difficult to damage.
Three ways: you can see availability in real time (no phone tag), you can book and pay instantly (no "let me check and call you back"), and you get self-service smart-lock access on supported hangars (no waiting for line crew). It's the difference between Uber and calling a cab company.
Quick Hangar is growing every week. If there's nothing available at your destination today, check back — new hangars are being added across 12+ states. You can also tell hangar owners you know about the platform. It's free for them to list.
Download the app, browse the live map, and book your first hangar. Your aircraft will thank you.
When the app asks "Do you have a referral code?" during sign-up, enter SKYFARER. If you also list a hangar, you may be eligible for an exclusive sign-up bonus once it's live.
